If you decide to meet up with someone you made contact with through Missed Connections be smart - meet in a busy, well-lit, public place, and tell a friend where you will be and who you are supposed to be meeting and set a time to check in by phone. You might even want to take a friend along.

Remember there exists a minority online who are happy to pretend to be someone they're not.

Don't give out any personal details online that you wouldn't be happy to give out to a stranger
